‘Alternative Facts’ From Meet the Press to Meme to Domain Name

These days if you want to come up with a catchy domain name, you’ve got to be quick. Real quick.

Sunday morning, today, Trump’s Presidential Counselor, Kellyanne Conway made a remark on NBC’s “Meet the Press” that the White House had reported “alternative facts” to the ones reported by the news media about, of all the silliest of things to bicker about, the size of Trump’s inauguration crowd.

And just like that, before the end of the day, the term alternative facts, not only became a meme, it was registered as a domain name! The WHOIS record does not reveal who owns it, but it presently is pointed to a web page. I’ll let you find out for yourself where it leads.

How did I stumble upon this? Well, I’ve been trying to come up with a nifty name for a politics blog and when I saw the meme pop up on the Internet, a lightbulb went off. Unfortunately, for me, my brilliant idea came to me too late. You got to be quick these days.

There is even a Facebook Page for it already.
Someone was really on their toes because it was created around 10:30 a.m.

A Twitter account for alternativefacts does not exist, it’s too long. ALTFACTS exists on Twitter. It has been inactive since 2014, so it is a little bit outdated.

But, I can agree with the last post on it, NIRVANA was in fact, one of the top bands of all time, and this makes a lot more sense than the words coming out of Kellyanne Conway’s mouth.
